A single archive for email
Information is centrally stored and data is managed in-place (i.e. not copied and moved to another system). Governance policies are applied directly to the data store, eliminating the need to duplicate data in a separate archive and reducing the risks associated with data movement and spoliation. A robust audit trail provides complete visibility across the archive.
Email & chat retention policies
Define retention rules for Gmail and chat messages. Once a message reaches the end of its retention period, disposal (also called disposition) is automatic, ensuring compliance with retention policies. The automated process ensures that no data which is subject to a legal hold is deleted, and reduces the risks of spoliation and noncompliance with legal orders.
Message holds
Preserve email and chat messages beyond their standard retention period for a legal matter or an investigation (such as a sexual harassment complaint).
